The Optisan MTC EVX 10×44 is here!

The latest version of the Optisan EVX has just arrived, and we’re quite excited about it. The new scope is a fixed 10×44 model for shooters who prefer a fixed mag scope.

EVX 10x44

The Optisan MTC EVX 10×44 replaces the now obsolete 10×44 Viper – a favourite amongst hunters and HFT shooters alike. The new EVX shares the same concept, but features improvements such as a  wider field of view, revised reticule and restyled, smoother knurling. And the best news? The price remains at the same price as the outgoing scope at £244.

Vince wins World HFT Championship with MTC Connect

Vince Holland wins HFT World Championship with MTC Viper ConnectCongratulations to Vince Holland on winning the 2015 Hunter Field Target World Championships at the Kelmarsh Country Show. Vince was using an MTC Viper Connect scope, and had this to say about it:

“I changed to an MTC CONNECT 32mm. I did this as I found the larger field of view and the depth of view so much more beneficial for determining the wind around the target, especially long shots in light wind as the wind at your feet isn’t doing what it is at the target. Every slight movement is noticeable, whereas the Viper is more useful for range finding. My scores begun to ramp up after buying the MTC Connect.”

Here at MTC, we’re delighted with Vince’s success, and would like to wish him further success with his Viper Connect.

Chris Cundey wins again!

Chris Cundey wins againCongratulations to former UKAHFT champion Chris Cundey on his first place at “The Gathering” which took place at Kibworth Shooting Ground on 16th November. Chris won the event with a score of 78 ex 80, which he achieved with the help of his trusty Optisan-MTC Viper scope which he has been using for 7 years.

Congratulations from all at MTC.

MTC Optics joins the Diana Group

From October 2014 MTC Optics has been incorporated into the Diana group, the same company that owns the English PCP airgun brands of Brocock and Daystate. Additionally, the Diana Group owns the Italian shotgun brands Breda and Marocchi. All warranties and after-sales information remains unchanged – and MTC’s existing management team of eight years, Gary and Sammie Cooper, will be remaining with the company. MD Sammie Cooper says: “As the takeover brings the Diana Group’s large customer base to MTC Optics, we’re confident that existing and new customers will be able to enjoy the advantages that come with the Group’s much larger distribution and administration network.” Gary & Sammie look forward to moving MTC’s iconic brand forward.
